한국MSD 프로스카 심포지엄 개최

한국 MSD(대표 마크 팀니)는 오는 3월31일 코엑스인터컨티넨탈 호텔에서 전립선 비대증 치료제 프로스카(피나스테리드) 관련 "Is There a Need to Change Our Clinical Practice?"라는 주제로 심포지엄을 갖는다.

이번 심포지엄은 MTOPS(Medical Therapy of Prostatic Symptoms)와 PCPT(Prostate Cancer Prevention Trial) 발표 이후, 두 연구에 대한 궁금증과 이를 어떻게 임상에 적용할 수 있는지에 대한 최신 지견을 나누는 자리이다.

프로스카 심포지엄에는 텍사스 대학교 비뇨기과의 클라우스 로에본(Claus Roehrborn) 교수가 연자로 참여해 BPH Guideline Development-New answers from MTOPS on the treatment of BPH에 대해서 최신 지견을 공유한다.

국내 연자로는 성균관대학교 의대 비뇨기과 최한용 교수가 참여해 What should we learn from the Prostate Cancer Prevention Trial(PCPT)?-The role of finasteride in the chemoprevention of prostate cancer에 대해 강의할 예정이다.
